JUANITA R. DANIELS, 91, LONGTIME OF CAVENDISH
Juanita R. Daniels, 91, a longtime Cavendish homemaker, died of causes related to age Thursday at Lewiston Care Center.
Daniels and her husband, Jess D. Daniels, lived on a farm near Cavendish for many years. He died July 28, 1979. She moved to the nursing home in September 1991.
She was born Oct. 19, 1902, in Teakean, Idaho, to Mitch and Addie King Blackburn. When she was a small child, the family lived in Tacoma for five years before moving to the Cavendish area. She attended grade school in Cavendish and high school in Southwick.
She and Jesse Daniels were married April 7, 1921, at Teakean.
Daniels and her family were active in building the Methodist log church building in Cavendish. She was a member of the church.
She also was a former member of the Orofino Rebekah Lodge and was active in the Ladies Aid community organization in Cavendish.
She enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Daniels of Lewiston, Lyle Daniels of Clarkston and Dick Daniels of Missoula, Mont.; 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Jack Daniels; two sisters, Iva Lee Pippenger and Thelma Fisk; and a brother, Everett Blackburn, died previously.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Pine Hills Funeral Chapel in Orofino. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cavendish Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be contributions to the Cavendish Methodist Church, in care of Juanita Reece, Kendrick, ID 83537.
